St Kitts & Nevis Patriots 2026: Full Squad, Overseas Signings & CPL Fixtures

St Kitts & Nevis Patriots 2026: full squad, overseas signings, and their CPL fixtures

By Duane Martin· Cricket Daily

The St Kitts & Nevis Patriots have completed their squad for CPL 2026, and the overseas contingent is built almost entirely around spin and pace from Asia. Pakistan quick Naseem Shah headlines a five-man group that also brings in Sri Lanka pair Wanindu Hasaranga and Dasun Shanaka, Afghanistan wrist-spinner Waqar Salamkheil and all-rounder Nikhil Chaudhary.

They join a West Indian core with serious CPL pedigree. Johnson Charles and Andre Fletcher, the competition's two leading run-scorers of all time, are both at Warner Park, alongside former West Indies captain Jason Holder.

Here is the full squad, the key signings, and every fixture.

When do St Kitts & Nevis Patriots start their CPL 2026 campaign?

The Republic Bank CPL 2026 runs from August 7 to September 20, 2026. The Patriots open away against defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders at the Arnos Vale Stadium in St Vincent on Saturday, August 8. Their home leg is a four-match block at Warner Park in Basseterre from August 27 to September 3.

Who are the Patriots' overseas signings?

Five players: Naseem Shah (Pakistan), Wanindu Hasaranga (Sri Lanka), Dasun Shanaka (Sri Lanka), Waqar Salamkheil (Afghanistan) and Nikhil Chaudhary. It is a group weighted heavily toward wicket-taking, with Hasaranga's leg spin and Salamkheil's left-arm wrist spin operating either side of Naseem's pace.

The squad build, explained

The Patriots, owned by Mahesh Ramani, joined the CPL in 2015 and won their only title in 2021 under Dwayne Bravo. Since then it has been a harder road, with bottom-half finishes across 2023, 2024 and 2025. The 2026 draft, which opened a new three-year contract cycle, was a chance to reset.

Their West Indian business centred on run-scoring history. The Patriots drafted Johnson Charles, the CPL's all-time leading run-scorer, and used a right-to-match option to re-sign Andre Fletcher, who sits second on that same list. Kyle Mayers, Alick Athanaze and Mikyle Louis were also secured through right-to-match, and Jason Holder was drafted back into the squad, giving the side a genuine world-class all-rounder. Kevin Wickham and Obed McCoy both join the franchise for the first time in 2026.

The trade-off was losing Evin Lewis, who left for the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons after more than a decade with the franchise, and Jyd Goolie, who moved to Trinbago.

The overseas group then arrived to sharpen the bowling. Naseem Shah brings genuine new-ball pace and death-overs skill, while Wanindu Hasaranga is one of the most destructive T20 leg-spinners in the world and a capable lower-order hitter. Dasun Shanaka, Sri Lanka's former captain, offers finishing and medium pace, Waqar Salamkheil adds a second wrist-spin option, and Nikhil Chaudhary rounds it out as a bowling all-rounder.
