San Francisco Unicorns at the Global Super League 2026: squad, fixtures, and how to watch

By Duane Martin· Cricket Daily

American franchise cricket goes global this month. The San Francisco Unicorns become the first Major League Cricket side to play the Global Super League, joining the field in Guyana for the 2026 edition and carrying real momentum after strong recent MLC campaigns.

The Unicorns bring a squad that blends experienced overseas heads like Peter Siddle and Fabian Allen with a crop of promising young Australians and USA domestic talent. Every game is live in Pakistan on A Sports HD, with broadcasters worldwide carrying the action.

Here is the full squad, the fixtures, and where to watch.

When do San Francisco Unicorns play at GSL 2026?

The Unicorns play four group games, all at Providence Stadium in Guyana. They open against hosts Guyana Amazon Warriors on July 23, then face Perth Scorchers XI on July 26, Desert Vipers on July 27 and Lahore Qalandars on July 29. The top team after the round-robin qualifies directly for the August 1 final, with a Qualifier between second and third on July 31.

Who leads the squad, and where can fans watch?

The Unicorns did not formally designate a captain in their squad announcement, but the group is anchored by senior figures Peter Siddle, Fabian Allen and Tim Robinson. In Pakistan, the tournament is live on A Sports HD, with coverage across the Caribbean, USA, Australia, Bangladesh, New Zealand, India and more, plus a free stream on the official GSL YouTube channel elsewhere.

An MLC first

This tournament marks a milestone for cricket in the United States. The San Francisco Unicorns are the first Major League Cricket franchise to compete in the Global Super League, a sign of how quickly the US game is integrating into the global T20 calendar. The Unicorns, owned by Anand Rajaraman and Venky Harinarayan, reached the MLC final in 2024 and finished third in 2025, and travel to Guyana in good form.

Their GSL group leans young. Former Australia fast bowler Peter Siddle brings the most experience, alongside West Indies all-rounder Fabian Allen and New Zealand batter Tim Robinson. Around them sit emerging Australians such as Oliver Peake, Callum Stow, Gideon Peters and Connor Esterhuizen, plus a strong USA domestic contingent led by national-team breakout Sanjay Krishnamurthi. All-rounder Hassan Khan, former Pakistan international Hammad Azam and pace bowler Ghulam

Mudassar add further subcontinent-linked interest.

For a side making its GSL debut, this is a squad built as much for development and exposure as for immediate silverware, with the Unicorns hoping to show that MLC belongs on the global stage.
