Manchester Super Giants 2026: full squad, new signings, and their Hundred fixtures

By Duane Martin · Cricket Daily

The biggest rebrand of The Hundred 2026 belongs to Manchester. The team formerly known as Manchester Originals are now the Manchester Super Giants, backed by India's RPSG Group, and they have spent big to turn a side that never won a title into a genuine contender.

RPSG, who also own Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL and Durban's Super Giants in the SA20, took a majority stake and gave the franchise a new name, a new elephant logo, and a squad packed with international power. Jos Buttler stays as the marquee name, Aiden Markram arrives to captain, and Justin Langer takes over as head coach.

Here is the full squad, the new arrivals, and every fixture the Super Giants play this summer.

Two quick questions before the season

When do Manchester Super Giants start their Hundred 2026 campaign?

The tournament runs from July 21 to August 16, 2026, with the eliminator at the Kia Oval on August 14 and the final at Lord's on August 16. The Super Giants open away at London Spirit at Lord's on Thursday, July 23, then play their first home game against Birmingham Phoenix at Emirates Old Trafford on Sunday, July 26.

Who are Manchester Super Giants' new signings for 2026?

The core of Jos Buttler, Heinrich Klaasen and Noor Ahmad was kept on, with Liam Dawson added as a pre-auction signing from London Spirit. At the auction, the franchise landed Aiden Markram, who takes the captaincy, along with Josh Tongue, Gus Atkinson and Tim Seifert. Justin Langer, previously with Lucknow Super Giants and London Spirit, is the new head coach.

The new signings, explained

This was the season The Hundred changed shape. Outside investors came in, the old draft was scrapped for two auction days in March, and Manchester went through the most dramatic makeover of the lot. RPSG Group acquired a 70 percent stake, folding the Manchester side into the same Super Giants family as their IPL and SA20 franchises.

The pre-auction business set the foundation. Buttler, Klaasen and Noor Ahmad were retained, giving the Super Giants an England white-ball captain, a destructive South African keeper-batter, and one of the most exciting young wrist spinners in the game. Liam Dawson joined from London Spirit to add control and lower-order runs.

Then came the auction, where Manchester threw their weight around. Aiden Markram was the most expensive overseas buy at £200,000, and Langer, who called him his "number one priority," handed him the captaincy over Buttler. Markram now plays for three Super Giants teams across Manchester, Lucknow and Durban. Fast bowler Josh Tongue went for the same £200,000, adding raw pace, while Gus Atkinson brought international-class seam and Tim Seifert added another keeper-batter option.

Langer's appointment as head coach completed the overhaul, following the departures of Simon Katich and Michael Klinger. As Manchester Originals, this team never won the competition in five seasons, though they reached the men's final in 2022 and 2023. The 2026 rebuild is built to finally close that gap.

Manchester Super Giants fixtures: The Hundred 2026

Where to watch and what's at stake

In the UK, Sky Sports is the home of The Hundred with every match live. The BBC carries all games live on BBC Sounds, shows 16 matches live on BBC TV, and posts highlights on BBC iPlayer and its sport site.

The men's and women's sides that finish top of their group tables go straight to the final at Lord's on August 16. The teams placed second and third meet in the eliminator at the Kia Oval on August 14 to decide who joins them.

With Buttler, Klaasen and Markram driving the batting and a deep, varied attack, the Super Giants have the look of contenders. The pressure now is to convert that spending into the title Manchester never won under the old name. Their campaign begins at Lord's on July 23.
