Breetzke anchors the Knight Riders chase
Chasing 110, the Knight Riders never looked flustered. Colin Munro got them going with a brisk 17, and although they lost a couple of early wickets, South African Matthew Breetzke held the chase together with a composed unbeaten 35 from 35 balls.
There was a scare when wicketkeeper Joshua Da Silva had to retire hurt on 18, but Breetzke's calm presence kept Trinbago well ahead of the required rate throughout. By the time the rain came down, they were cruising, which is exactly why they finished on the right side of the DLS equation.

For the Knight Riders, it is an ideal start to the defence of their crown, two points on the board and a statement bowling display, even if they would have liked to finish the job on the field to boost their net run rate.
