Antigua & Barbuda Falcons 2026: full squad, key signings, and their CPL fixtures

By Duane · Cricket Daily

The Antigua & Barbuda Falcons have rebuilt their squad for CPL 2026, and the headline is a homecoming. West Indies fast bowler Alzarri Joseph joins his native Antigua's franchise for the first time, leading a revamped group that also brings in big-hitting opener Evin Lewis and a high-profile overseas contingent featuring Moeen Ali, Shadab Khan and Kusal Perera.

Under coach Paul Nixon, the Falcons have reached the playoffs in each of their first two seasons and are chasing a maiden CPL title. This year they get the honour of opening an expanded, seven-team tournament.

Here is the full squad, the key signings, and their fixtures.

When do Antigua & Barbuda Falcons start their CPL 2026 campaign?

The Republic Bank CPL 2026 runs from August 7 to September 20, 2026. The Falcons play the very first match of the tournament, facing tournament debutants Jamaica Kingsmen at the Arnos Vale Stadium in St Vincent on Friday, August 7. They stay at the same venue to meet Saint Lucia Kings on Sunday, August 9, before a standout four-match home stretch at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in late August.

Who are the Falcons' key signings, and who captains the side?

The marquee moves are Alzarri Joseph, who returns home from Saint Lucia Kings, and Evin Lewis, signed from St Kitts & Nevis Patriots. The overseas group is headlined by Moeen Ali, Shadab Khan and Kusal Perera, with Paul Nixon staying on as head coach. With former captain Imad Wasim no longer in the squad, the Falcons had not confirmed a new captain for the revamped group at the time of writing.

The squad build, explained

The Falcons are owned by Worldwide Sports Management Group, led by Florida-based businessman Kris Persaud, and play their home games at the iconic Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound. Coached by Paul Nixon, they enter a new three-year contract cycle with a heavily reshaped roster following the May 2026 draft, which built each squad around senior West Indians, breakout local players and overseas signings.

The standout is a genuine homecoming. Alzarri Joseph, the Antiguan fast bowler, joins the Falcons after five seasons with Saint Lucia Kings, linking up with fellow Antiguans Rahkeem

Cornwall and Karima Gore. Alongside him, the Falcons landed the hugely experienced Evin Lewis, who leaves the Patriots after more than a decade. They used their right-to-match options to re-sign Fabian Allen, Jayden Seales and Amir Jangoo, and brought back Shamar Springer, Cornwall and Gore from the 2025 group. Anderson Mahase, Anderson Phillip and keeper Jahmar Hamilton add fresh West Indian depth, with Gore, Mahase and Joshua James among the breakout picks.

The overseas signings raise the ceiling further. England all-rounder Moeen Ali and Pakistan leg-spinning all-rounder Shadab Khan bring world-class experience, Sri Lanka keeper-batter Kusal Perera adds firepower at the top, and Pakistan leg-spinner Sufyan Moqim arrives fresh off a Player-of-the-Tournament PSL campaign, joined by USA batters Milind Kumar and Tajinder Singh.

Having finished fourth in both 2024 and 2025 before falling in the knockouts, the Falcons have the depth this year to push for a first title.

Antigua & Barbuda Falcons fixtures: CPL 2026

CPL 2026 has expanded to seven teams for the first time, adding new franchise Jamaica Kingsmen, and runs across the islands from August 7 before the playoffs and a first-ever final at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. The Falcons play 10 group games, all as evening fixtures starting at 7:00 PM local Caribbean time (AST). Their home leg is a four-match stretch at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in late August.

Times below are given in local Caribbean time (AST) and IST for subcontinent viewers, where the games fall in the early morning.

A note for fans in India and Pakistan: because the Caribbean is several hours behind, every Falcons game starts at roughly 4:30 AM IST (about 4:00 AM PKT) the following morning. The best stretch to catch them live at home is the four-match Antigua leg from August 20 to 25. The top sides progress to the playoffs in Barbados, with the final on September 20.

Where to watch

CPL is broadcast widely around the world. In the Caribbean it airs on ESPN Caribbean and Flow Sports, while Willow TV covers the United States and Canada, and FanCode typically streams the tournament in India. In Pakistan, Tapmad has carried CPL coverage. Broadcast and streaming rights can change year to year, so it is worth confirming your local platform closer to the August 7 start.
