AUS vs ENG 2026 Schedule: 3 ODIs, 5 T20Is, Squads and Times

Summary Overview: Full schedule for England's 2026 tour of Australia: three ODIs in Perth, Adelaide and Hobart from November 13, then five T20Is from the MCG on November 21 to Canberra on December 2. Squads, captains and start times in local, UK, PKT, IST and ET.

When does it start? The 1st ODI is on Friday, November 13 at Perth Stadium. The tour ends with the 5th T20I on Wednesday, December 2 at Manuka Oval, Canberra.

How many matches? Eight: three One Day Internationals (ODIs), then five T20 Internationals (T20Is), each in a different city.

Who are the captains? Harry Brook leads England in both formats. Mitchell Marsh leads Australia in both formats.

What time do the games start?

  • ODIs: 3:30 AM UK, 8:30 AM PKT, 9:00 AM IST. In the US, they start at 10:30 PM ET the night before.
  • T20Is: 8:15 AM UK, 1:15 PM PKT, 1:45 PM IST, 3:15 AM ET.

Who is missing? Australia have rested fast bowlers Mitchell Starc, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood. England are without Jos Buttler (hamstring surgery) and Saqib Mahmood (knee).

The Story: Eight Games, Eight Cities

England head to Australia straight after the tri-series in Pakistan, where they missed the final. This tour is a white-ball series only, and both sides are using it to build towards next year's ODI World Cup.

For readers new to cricket:

  • In an ODI, each team bats for up to 50 overs, and games last most of a day.
  • In a T20I, each team bats for up to 20 overs, and games last about three and a half hours.
  • An over is six legal deliveries.

All three ODIs are day-night games. They start in the afternoon and finish under lights.

Storylines to Watch

Australia without their big three quicks. Starc, Cummins and Hazlewood are all rested for both series. That opens the door for younger players, including Mahli Beardman, Jack Edwards, Ollie Peake and Liam Scott in the ODI squad.

England's fast bowlers return, but only for the ODIs. Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Sonny Baker and Josh Tongue are in the ODI squad. They are not in the T20I squad, as England manage their workloads ahead of the Test tour of South Africa.

Bethell and Salt are back. Jacob Bethell returns from the knee injury that kept him out since July. Phil Salt returns to the T20I squad after a quad injury.

An 18-year-old in the T20I squad. Wicketkeeper-batter Thomas Rew, who captained England at the Under-19 World Cup in February, earns his first senior call-up. Seamer Eddie Jack is the other new face.
